The Foundation & Primary Stages

The school applies Cambridge International Education (CIE) programs and qualifications for the Foundation and Primary stages for the core subjects, which are English, Mathematics, and Science.
These programs offer a flexible curriculum with integrated assessment. Cambridge Primary sets clear learning objectives in English, Mathematics and Science skills for each year of primary education from year 1 to year 6. It focuses on learners’ development in each year and provides a natural progression throughout the years of primary education, providing international benchmarks for schools.
Instruction in both Foundation and Primary stages are supported by the Montessori approach to help children better understand the “how” and the “why” with specially designed hands on materials as well as learn responsibility, compassion for others and self-motivation.

The Lower Secondary Stage

The school applies Pearson International Lower Secondary Curriculum (known as Lower Secondary) which caters students in Years 7 to 9 and is available for English, Mathematics, Science and Computing.
At the end of Year 9, students take an Achievement Test which provides certification and it is externally marked by Pearson.
Pearson Lower Secondary is a complete, three years program that comes with a wealth of support with sample schemes of work, exemplified units of work, internally-assessed progress tests, externally-assessed achievement tests and a comprehensive professional development program. The curriculum provides the students with the skills and knowledge they need to access the wider curriculum and gives an excellent foundation for later learning.

The Upper Secondary and Advanced Stage

IGCSE is the world’s most popular international curriculum covering year 10 to 12. It brings out the best in students and develops successful learners through a skills-based approach to teaching and assessing.
Within the international curriculum over 70 subjects are available, offering a variety of routes for learners of different abilities.
The school provides Cambridge, Pearson and Oxford AQA programs for O Level, International AS Level as a qualification in its own right or as a stage on the way to the International A Level as well as A Level IGCSEs. National subjects are also provided, in accordance with the requirements of the Egyptian Ministry of Education.

Learners have the freedom to select the subjects that are right for them – they either follow a broad course of study, or specialize in a particular area. Moreover, students have the privilege and flexibility to choose following Cambridge Assessment International Education (CIE), Pearson, and/or Oxford International AQA Examinations for their IGCSE exams.

We have a learning support department that serves the unique educational needs of students who may have learning difficulties and/or learning disabilities. The goal is to help students reach educational goals more easily than they otherwise would.

Through the learning support department, each student has an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) that is tailored to the individual student’s needs where teachers and related service providers understand the student’s disability and how the disability affects the learning process.
We aim to give the student a chance to participate in “normal” school culture and academics as much as it is possible for that individual student, depending on the type and severity of the case.

In this way, the student is able to have specialized assistance only when such assistance is absolutely necessary, and otherwise maintains the freedom to interact with and participate in all school extra-curricular activities (sports, Islamiyat, school events) along with other school peers.
